Cold season is upon us and few people will escape its wrath unscathed. You feel it coming on. There are a few sniffles and then a familiar nagging scratchy throat lets you know it has arrived. You have a cold. I am a firm believer that you look as good as you feel. In most situations this has brought me great comfort. Unfortunately, it has the reverse effect with illness. When a cold comes on, follow these beauty tip so you can look good when it has zapped your energy and desire to live.

Cover Up
Colds make us want to crawl under a comforter to end those horrible chills. Follow your bodies cues and pick a comfy sweater and some soft warm leggings. You will still look great and you might even hide some extra pounds. You can also try layering clothes. A turtleneck under a cute t-shirt can be covered with a cardigan or men's shirt. The point is to choose wisely, but think about comfort.

Lighten Up
Faces can take on a green haze when a cold invades our body. It is important to use foundation sparingly. Using foundation as a highlighter will not only brighten a face, it will also save precious time and energy that is missing during a cold attack. Forget the blush. By the time the last of the foundation is massaged in you will only have little energy left for make up.

A Little Make Up
Mascara and eye liner can help liven up tired and bloodshot eyes. Some smudged eye liner in the corner will brighten up your peepers and won't take but a few seconds to use. Remember to place some of the foundation at the top of your lids. This allows you to forgo the eye shadow and your bloodshot eyes will clear up, a little.

Kissable Lips
Tinted lip gloss will give a finished look even when you feel like one foot is in the grave. Keep it in your pocket and use it often. Dry lips can bring on nasty cracks and sometimes evil little cold sores will show up in the creases.

It doesn't take a lot of effort to look good when a cold possesses you very being. I truly believe looking good can take at least a day off of your cold. When time is of the essence, one day is a treasure chest of opportunity.
