People make all kinds of arguments about this subject, but to me the answer is very simple. There are two basic ways of looking at this, one is from a Christian perspective and one is from the human perspective. Either way in my opinion both prove it to be wrong.
From the Christian point of view the bible, again in my opinion leaves no doubt that it is not only wrong but is a sin of very large proportions. The example mostly used by people who argue this is Sodom and Gomorrah. But the Christian faith leaves no room for it in a Christian's way of life.
From a human point of view we have Darwin's theory of evolution. If you do not believe in any religion then I would think that this would apply. The theory of evolution covers a lot of things, but basically it comes down to the survival of the fittest. How can we insure the survival of the fittest if we have man with man and woman with woman?
Also we have the human brain with which we have learned to think and reason with. Can anybody honestly say that something of this nature could possibly be acceptable in a society as advanced and complex as ours.
I know that a lot of people will not agree with what I have written. I say that our society is complex and advanced, but it seems to me that a lot of people want to take it backwards.
We are taught right from wrong starting a a very young age. We go through school learning to use this brain that we have. We continue through life using it every day.
So where in our lifetime have I learned that gay and lesbian relationships are rite or acceptable. Nowhere in my life have I learned this to be the case. Nowhere in this lifetime have I seen or heard anything to make me believe that it is even remotely acceptable.
So I see no other alternative but to say that it is wrong!
