Reflections: Creativity

have came out to be just like you and me, his create outlet would have been shot.

Most of everything I say I do not believe, I only suggest it. As a representative to the people who fell into the national creative submitting during school years, I suggest that if Albert Einstein could come from his time and see what is happening, he would say that we are all crazy, and would fall into a worm hole! JK! The truth is I know myself and can see that my life could have be taken so much farther if someone would have let me do something that I wanted to do.

Now for the rationalizations; life is too short, I should take what I know now and grow from it. When I look at myself now I see a free person, a person not afraid to change, and one afraid of defeat, because of what has occurred.

When I was a freshman in college had an art teacher; a very cool guy. We talked him into letting us go out into the hall and hack sack. Well he seen that I liked art and that I needed to let my creativity explode somewhere in the lines that I choose. So I asked him one day if I could choose to draw something of my choosing. He said that I was free to, he didn't care. Now i got the picture that hour and I started drawing it. A month later after drawing it everyday in class, taking it home for 5 hour runs and working on it I finished. I wouldn't stop until I was finished. I brought it to school for the final time. As I gave it to my teacher he looked at me with accomplishment. I was thinking to myself why would he feel accomplished when it was my work. So he allowed me to sit down, he talked to a couple of students; that had some questions on their assignments.

During this month of drawing everyone else was doing these weird assignments that I figured were boring compared to what I was doing? But nevertheless I came to class everyday and worked on my own. Talking to my friends and creating something amazing.

"Devin," the teacher said. "Yes Sir," I replied for some reason (trust me I was not a teachers pet, as a matter of a fact I was the opposite). "Come here," he said. "Sir, Yes Sir!" Well I got up there and he looked at me straight in the face and said, "This is the best work I've seen in a long time. You have the talent of a sophomore in college." Whoa doesn't that sound nice I am a freshman in high school. I had this one time opportunity to do what I wanted because I loved to do it and it turned out to be amazing. Eventually he asked me to give the picture to him to place in a contest. But, the trimester changed and I moved to a different school. So I have no clue as to whether I ever won or what happened to my drawing. So day i wish to go back there and get it, but until then I just have a memory. I have that picture more memorized then anyone I ever met. It was very fin detailed, by far the best work I ever created.

So is a life tip to be created? You bet cha! And in my opinion shame to those that do the opposite to those that naturally need to create.
