Mt. Snow. The name says it all, doesn't it? This family friendly resort, much closer to southern New England than many of its competitors, offers the best all-around package of skiing, restaurants, aprs-ski activities, and holiday spirit!
With a full schedule of holiday parties and festivities, you could easily keep yourself busy here all day and all night, whether you ski or not! For the avid skier, Mt. Snow offers some of the best conditions in Vermont, and boasts some of the state's most extensive snow making capabilities, which is an important consideration early in the season (and even New Year's is considered early for ski season!).
In order to create that homelike setting for the holidays, avoid the big hotels, and stay in a private house, cabin, or condominium. With your own kitchen and living room, it will feel like home in no time. While many people balk at the price of renting a private house instead of hotel rooms, when you realize how many more people a condo can sleep, the price per person can actually be considerably less than a comparable hotel. Mt. Snow offers many excellent options, and can help you plan the ultimate holiday experience.
Worried that you'll miss out on all the action if you're not staying at the base lodge? Don't be. Most of the condos and private home rentals are within either walking distance, or a very short drive from the center of the resort. With an extensive selection of restaurants, bars, and shopping to choose from, there is bound to be something for everyone in your party, even teenagers!
The biggest downside to spending a holiday at Mt. Snow? Anyone who has tried it before will remember how much fun they had, and they'll book ahead for next time! Call early to reserve the best packages, and then sit back and relax, knowing that this year the holidays will be truly memorable.
