My family Easter tradition is planned a month before Easter. I begin saving empty eggshells and place them in empty egg cartons. Every time I make scramble eggs for breakfast or use eggs in a recipe, I poke a small hole in the top and bottom of the egg. I blow out the egg yoke, from the eggshell, into a bowl. At the sink, I run water through the holes of the eggshell and blow out any excess yoke. The empty eggshell is set aside to dry. I collect three egg cartons filled with empty eggshells before Easter. My eggshells are decorated by using markers, paints, and glitter. I draw different designs on each eggshell. The eggshells are stuffed with confetti and a small piece of clear tape is placed on the top and bottom of the holes. My eggshells are ready to crack on top of someone's head. I enjoy sneaking up behind someone and smashing my eggshell on top of their head. I run because the surprised victim is ready for revenge and has a hidden eggshell cupped in their hand. My laughter, from being chased, slows me down. I end up caught and an eggshell smashed on my head. My Easter family tradition is the most meaningful because my eggshells make smashing memories with my family and friends.
