BEST ONLINE DATING SITES FOR BABY BOOMERS

Since I am totally into blogging and love to write, a "social network" such as Yahoo 360 is my preferred method of meeting new people. Within the social network are weekly activities to participate in to make new friends, groups within Yahoo where you can meet those with similar interests, then there is private messaging for those who are shy to post a public comment, online games and they are all tied into the wonder of wonders that singles know as Yahoo Messenger. One of the most practical ways of getting to know someone online, but it is not without its pitfalls.

This afternoon I found myself in the same familiar pattern, taking me back to meeting someone online, finding myself attracted to someone, ending up exchanging Messenger IDs and chatting. The conversations always start off the same and within quite a bit of time I caught myself midstream with that feeling of deja vu. A reminder that I was headed back to making that same old mistake again, it was a "player" I had been wasting my time with.

What was the thing that finally took me to the point of deja vu? You know, like with the concept of being greedy with money and gambling at the casino, "just one more time" and you will probably end up losing your money. Well, it seems like the same goes with the "PLAYERS" who like to chat, they are not happy talking to one person at a time. What would you call that? Being greedy with their time? Getting the most of their time? Killing two birds with one stone? Whatever, it is one of my online dating pet peeves for sure!

Rather than learning how to use stealth settings so they can give their full attention to one person, they boldly go into it showing themselves "available". I guess . . . The problem is this, most of the players, no matter how experienced they are at the game, mess themselves up because they lack the coordination of managing two conversation boxes at the same time before tripping themselves up and typing the wrong thing in the wrong box. Although it really upsets me for wasting my time, I'm thankful for small miracles that I have a sixth sense for idiots and players.

Out of the clear blue in the middle of a lengthy conversation, the message I get from the guy is "how are you?". And that was after a bit of a delay that happens when the other person is usually trying to manage two conversations at the same time that had me thinking he was already starting to play the game with me. I promptly logged out without even saying bye . . . oh, why bother. At the same time reminding me . . . . no no no no, don't waste your time on the players, there are still those out there that are worth the time.
