What to expect and how to care for yourself after giving birth

If pregnancy it's self isn't hard enough on your body wait until you give birth. Now all births are different I had a beautiful baby girl natural no drugs and was able to walk around I felt fine no soreness or cramping. But I also had a very handsome son natural no drugs and was not so lucky that time around I was in pain for a month after having him yes a whole month. My sister had a caesarian aka "C" section she said her abdomen felt tight and sore for a bout a week as a pose to my girlfriend who also had one was sore for two weeks. Every woman is different along with the circumstances we deliver in. Do not panic this may not be your case we are all different physically giving birth is a personal experience so are the pains and cramps afterwards. We all must make sure we take certain steps in caring for ourselves after the birth of our children. No matter how sexually frustrate you are do not have sex at least 6 weeks or as your doctor advises this can cause tears and infection and never use a tampon within that 6 weeks for the same reasons. If the hospital does not send you home with one a sitz bath I highly recommend this can be purchased at a cvs ,rite aid ,duane read. The sitz bath you fill with warm water and epson salt and relives the swelling caused by giving birth and hemorrhoids. If you have family willing to cook and help care of the baby take full advantage because the novelty of the new baby will wear out and the responsibility all yours with in a few weeks. Your going to want to make sure you also eat right and get as much rest as possible as well this will help with the healing processes and remember you deserve it.
