The greatest comeback story

After leaving school at sixteen to escape the clutches of authority Caroline started her new working life. She decided on a trade, hairdressing, seemed like a more glamorous option than school. She was the only girl in a family of five,a broken family. The gap between the oldest and youngest was a massive seventeen years and seen as she was the only female, the babysitting was usually down to her. Even after a long tiresome day at work she would have to come home and tend to her brother, she loved her baby brother dearly, but also missed her friends.

As time passed she began more and more to stretch the limitations of her parents patience until one night she decided she could take it no more. Her friends had began to dabble in drugs, nothing serious just cannabis and weed, but she was some how more effected than the rest. Her state of mind was altered and she decided that she would stay away from home and stay at a friends, just for the night. The next day came, and fear took over. They moved in together and spent their time smoking cannabis and taking ecstasy and any other drugs that came their way. Her boss had become increasingly annoyed by her absenteeism and so Caroline hopped between jobs, her work ethic was based on a week to week wage system. She would barely have enough to pay the rent as her new man would use her wages for drug money.

After a year, Caroline's lifestyle had started to take its toll. She had started talking to her parents again but the relationship was so fragile they would argue almost every time they spoke. Her appearance had changed drastically and it seemed to those around her that she didn't care what she looked like. That however was so far from the truth. She had grown tired of taking drugs, yet she felt trapped. She had driven all her friends away, her family life was in ruins so all she had left was a relationship based on drugs. Her boyfriend had started to become abusive, he had tired of his young prize who had aged terribly over the past year. He put her down on every
