Movies are probably the best gift that you could get anyone, let alone someone that loves nothing better than cuddling up on the couch with a great flick. And during the Holiday season, there are many opportunities to purchase these movies at very affordable prices. They also offer a plethora of 'special edition' DVD's around the Holidays, making it even easier to buy something different. Of course DVD's would be a first choice gift for anybody, but isn't it a bit common? How about spicing it up a bit.

Don't just give her DVD's, make an entire set of it! Make up a basket or a tote with her movie of choice, maybe a movie poster or a soundtrack. Put a few packs of popcorn in there, and some 'movie candy'. We all have our favorite snack at the theater, goobers, twizzlers, chocolate covered raisins, or M&M's, but buying them outside of the theater is even cheaper! Or pick up a boxed set of movies that you know she'll love.

Consider, though, does she have her own personal TV, and DVD player? Maybe that would be a good choice for a present if she doesn't own it already. Teens today love electronics, and a movie-buff even more so. DVD players are simple, and they transport us from our average humdrum lifestyles to fantasy worlds that enrapture us with fairy tales. Or give her access to movie channels from the cable companies. It's great to sit and watch new movies on one channel one after the other during Christmas break.

And, considering how popular gift cards are today, a movie theater gift card would be perfect. Going out on a Friday night with a couple of friends to see the latest flick is great for teens. This way, she not only gets a present, but also an experience that she will remember. Movie going is a classic past time, and reminding our children so is important, there are far worse things today that young kids can get themselves into. You might want to even splurge and get her a gift card for a fast food restaurant so she and her friends might enjoy a night of it.

Depending on how responsible your teen is, you might want to consider getting her a subscription to some movie rentals. You can do this either by joining a local video store or one of the mail rental companies like Netflix. Or, allow her a few 'rentals', of new flicks from the local cable channel (like on-demand, or pay-per-view). Maybe make her a coupon booklet that she can cash in throughout the year for 'movie nights'.

A Movie magazine subscription would be ideal, as well. Or you might also want to consider searching your local bookstore for different books about different movies. Some movies are made from books, and you might want to get her the original that her movie was made from. This she might find to be very interesting.

Sometimes you can also find souvenirs from a movie, get her an autographed copy of a DVD, or of her favorite stars. Young girls love pictures of their favorite handsome leading men, why not consider getting an autographed copy? There are plenty of things that you could get for you movie lover, the question is how to make it stand out as a great gift. Use a few of these tips and you are sure to score points!
