There was a time long, long ago
Before the time
When all was in the mind
Summed up it was
No sound because
It was not the day to speak
On beginning day there came a sound
Penetrating with the light
The Word of God went out
In six times one
The days were done
With everything abound
All was visible and right
Before that day I was
Made living by a thought
Created in an instant
Before I was even bought
Then an angel had a doubt
A thought that he could beat the Son
Commanding all the show
But lo his thought defiled a host
And cost him what was valued most
Trickery and fear
The lying one came near
A plan was made by God above
To rescue from the devil's band
Who'd crippled all the world in fear
My name was called
He searched me out
Even though I didn't care I thought
He drew me to His caring hand
Had I lived my life for nought?
A multitude deceived
Looking without sight
In the dark in light
Could the difficult believe?
A blinder on their eyes
My friend who made me came to give His life
The Savior Jesus is His name
God above in flesh and love
Died and suffered just for me
Since the day He made my day
I'm never more the same
Eternal life is here to stay
Life He gave exchanged for shame
By the blood He shed on the cross for all
It's the greatest gift and the greatest call
The call of life upon each heart
Follow now the One who lives
The fullest life and a brand new start
Jeweled mansions wait in living gold and white
A place in timeless beauty to your sight
All your dreams are come to life
Made for those who find His plan
So penetrates the light
Binding soft the glory
Love is streaming with the story
Reach out and hold the Savior's hand.

The Whisper
I hear my name whispered
in the new day's softness.
I hesitate in the shadows,
perhaps it was birdsong.

Finding God
Is seeing
How things work
In the world
If I hit you
You bleed
Then I have damaged
God's art of work
My freewill
Looking for God, use your senses well
Stand in awe of what they tell
Existing rare in sheltered berth
A planet blue, God
A mighty wind splitting mountains
Breaking heavy boulders and rocks
But the presence is not in the wind
Where sound and fury
