How to fix rust spots on a car

First of all you need to know how bad is it rusted. If it isnt rusted all the way through the metal all you need todo is take a sander and sand of all the paint around the rusted spot make sure you take it down to the bare metal.Once you have you can take and get some fiber glass mass and risen cut the fiber glass mass to cover the rusted spot and mix your fiber glass hardner togather and take a small 2inch paint brush and spread the fiber glass risan over the rusted spot and lay the fiber glass that you cut and then let it harden and then grind it down smooth and then spread bondo over it and let the bondo harden and then sand it smooth where it feels smooth and leval with the rest of the area of the car. Then once you have done this now you are ready to prime the area.Ok now we are going to use what they call laquare primer. It mixes half primer and half laquare (paint thiner).Prime the area with 3 to 5 coats. let it dry it takes about 10 to 15 min.Now you can block sand the area by hand.Take a sanding block and a peace of 180 grit sand paper and block the area till it is smooth try not to sand all the way through the primer. Now you are done fixing the spot after you are done it is best to get a painter to spot in the color and the clear coat cause it is very easy to run clear coat.
