Poetry: Being grumpy

From the look on your face today.
we're in a bad mood, I'd safely say.

Somethings eating at you, and if
I ask, I'm sure you'll say more
than a thing or two.

If there's one thing that I know,
the best thing I can do is turn
and go!

As grumpy at you have a tendency to
get, leaving you alone is my best bet.

You'll rub your mad spot soon enough,
and your attitude won't be so tough.

That frown will soon turn upside down,
but until then, I won't be around!

I learned a long time ago, not to ask,
you'll tell me what you want me to know.

A lesson it took awhile to get, but now
I walk away from it.

Just let me know when your in a better
mood, and no longer sit around and brood.

Then we'll continue on with the day, once
your aggravation's gone away.

Grumpy just doesn't look good on you, and
so I'd prefer not to have a view.

Saving us both a lot of grief, and to keep
from getting in a beef.

Being grumpy is not my style, I'd rather
be sporting a big smile.

So kindly turn the other cheek, so I'm not
so afraid to speak!
