On September 21, 1967 in Mississippi the world welcomed Audrey Faith Perry. Audrey was adopted to a great couple whom were very religious in aura. The vocal abilities of this young girl were noticed early on and encouraged by everyone. Audrey became popular talent in local churches and formed a band of her own. She started college but decided to move to Nashville to pursue her career as a country singer known today as Faith Hill.
Faith continued singing, joining a gospel courtet in her teens which led her to traveling throughout the South in many churches. One thing you may not know about Faith is that she once, just like many teens today, worked at McDonald's and disliked the job very much! She also managed to work with some famous singers such as Gary Morris and Reba McEntire.
Despite hardships, Faith has encountered such as a divorce (in her first marriage), as well as ruptured blood vessels on her vocal cords, Faith has continued to pray and have faith in God to help her through. She took time off to start a family with her new found husband Tim McGraw and had children. After her time off, Faith re-entered the music scene and released a new album.
Influenced by artists such as Reba McEntire, Elvis and Aretha Franklin, Faith took a strong love into her music and singing. With her raspy soulful voice Faith has managed to sell millions of records and be honored by many awards. Faith has received awards such as Video of the Year for "First Kiss" and Top New Female Vocalist. Many of her songs including Breathe, Wild One and I cant do this anymore have hit the # 1 spots across billboards since 1994.
Presently Faith Hill is planning to be on an album with Aretha Franklin and has recorded a duet with Reba McEntire. She has joined with other artists to fight towards informing others about the risks of HIV spread to unborn children in Africa.
Faith stays busy collecting picture frames for her family photo and sports are an active part of Faith's life. Faith loves her family and puts them first but yet still manages to make wonderful music for us all to enjoy.
