From a Christian point of view I know they are considered very sinful. I guess from the world's point of view though it is quite normal behavior. They tend to to lean toward the view that a homosexual or a lesbian are born that way. The fact that there is no scientific solid evidence does not seem to deter them in the least.

The root of the argument of Christianity is simply this, according to the Bible homosexuality is a sin. It is an abomination before the eyes of God; and he condemns the practice of it.

According to God in the book of Leviticus it is stated.

Lev 18:22 You shall not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is abomination to God.

The word used in the Hebrew text for "Abomination" here is the word "To ebah" and it means something that is "morally disgusting and a abhorrence". The Bible goes onto to say that God said those involved should be put to death.

Lev 18:29 For whoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

God is very specific here and it is not up to man or his laws to change this in any way. The liberals of today will tell you that "We must accept them they can't help it."; that just is not true. Acceptance of something that God considers morally disgusting only weakens and lowers our morals as a whole. God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for the acts of homosexuality; as the men of these cities were so morally detestable they wanted to rape Angels. Instead of wanting young virgin females they chose to rape Angels. In fact the name of the city of Sodom is where we get the word Sodomy.

The Apostle Paul said in the Book of Romans.

Rom 1:26 For this cause, God gave them up to dishonorable affections. For even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature.
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another; males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right,

Paul says that even the women changed their natural affections, this is the first mention of lesbianism in the Bible. What I would like to point out now is the word "Reprobate" in the 28th verse. That word in the Greek is "Adokimos" and it means "Unapproved, that is rejected, by implication worthless, a castaway." Most homosexuals feel exactly as these words describe rejected by society, worthless for their sexual preferences, and an outcast in common society.

This is not by chance no, it is by design; the design of God. There is nothing natural about a man desiring another man. It is wrong and nothing will make it right.

Finally I would like to point this out. The Apostle Paul said in
1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,
He was very specific here that no homosexual would enter into the kingdom of heaven

God however is willing to accept the homosexual if he is indeed repentant in his heart. For only God can wipe out sin. The sad thing is most homosexuals don't believe in God.

I wonder if that is because they couldn't justify their own lust if they did.
