The seventh day, day of rest

8 " Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

This is was the Lord says in the Bible that he made the sabbath day and hallowed it, which means it is a day set aside...for us. Why then do most people not celebrate the sabbath day or do they calling it Sunday worship? The bible says the seventh day of the week is the sabbath even after the death and resurrection of Jesus suggesting the law was not abolished; many people suggest Jesus abolished the law, but he only added to it. Here is the proof look it up in your bible if you don't believe me: Acts 17:2-3 "Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, "This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.", then even better John 20:1 "Now the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb." This is 3 days after Jesus died, he died on Friday and they wanted him to be buried before sabbath began at sunset-back then each day accounted for sundown to sundown, which meant the 7th or last day of the week was going to start at sundown. They put him in the tomb and then he rose the first day as seen above.

If you are doubting go to any pastor and ask him/her which day the sabbath was originally on and they will say Saturday. Now why would we celebrate Sunday the "day of rejoicing" if Saturday is the day we are to do no labors? in the late 321 AD Roman priest decided to change the sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday, this would allow more people to come to church and allow them to celebrate what they wanted on there sabbath; like being able to do sabbath breaking things. Many Popes have confessed to this sin and tell of it...but I don't have anymore room, but I found a great link where they say it better than I can here: http://www.sabbathfellowship.o rg/biblestudies/erwingane/bibl estudy_gane_sabbathchng.htm.

No w if the law was changed wouldn't people revolt? Well they did, and they became dead. This change of law can be compared to when Moses when up on the mountain and receive the law the first time. Remember Arron allowed them to make an idol to worship, ignoring the oral laws they had received just before. So they had known what they had done, and trust me so does any knowledgeable pastor. The true Day of Rest is the Sabbath, there is no evidence proving otherwise, God asks us to keep his commandments in our hearts so lets do it.

I hope that you find this article revealing, but even more i hope that you will go and study for yourself, but trusting in God to show you the truth. Thank you for reading and God bless, I will be writing more!
