I am always intrigued by fashion on the red carpet and when ladies dress for very formal occasions. I believe most women want to look their very best and they spend time and money to do so. How are some able to pull off those glamorous and elegant appearances time after time again, while we are embarrassed at looking at others awkward attempts to fit in?

The secret of being successful on the red carpet is not in the money spent on hair and make-up, or the lavish designer gown and security guarded jewelry dripping from neck and ears. The secret is inside the woman. It is how the woman feels about herself and how comfortable she is with what she is wearing. A woman's self esteem does measures above anything else that may be purchased. When she is feeling sexy, she is going to exude that sexiness and it will speak for itself. In her case, less is definitely more. A warm felt smile shines better than a Harry Winston diamond. She enhances the jewelry and the gown. She makes the dress. The dress does not make her.

The successful appearance of a woman on the red carpet is also in her accessories. She won't overdo it. She realizes all eyes are on her and she embellishes that fact while being cognizant of searching eyes that do not need to be distracted with additional images outside of herself. You only see what she wants you to see and your imagination is fulfilled. The secret of a woman who is successful on the red carpet, is that she satisfies her audience by having pleased herself first.
