Poetry: Transitions

i have the choice
to speak
or be spoken to

i have a voice
that is ignored
and often blue

i see the world
through eyes
not unlike you

i am a person
like you
worth listening to

i feel my mind
seems very
strange to you

i was a child
and experienced
the birthing too

i will pass on
and experience
that change too

i mean so much
to oh so
very few

i think too much
about what
i need do

i bury feelings
as people
should never ever do

i can't contain
what it is
i feel about you

i must go on
in a world
that's changing too
