We as children of our parents speak of our trips to the day spa, getting a massage and being pampered, having a manicure and pedicure.

A unique gift would be to send your parents, or a senior friend and their spouse to the Spa. Let them know it is their time to sit back and relax and enjoy being taken care of at a nice Day Spa in your area. They will enjoy the facials and the body massage as well as a foot massage and come out feeling relaxed and refreshed with a kick to their step and a smile across their face because they feel great!

Perhaps a gift certificate for an art class if they have mentioned an interest in crafts, painting, pottery making, or drawing. Or perhaps a gift certificate for a family portrait to get the family together in a sitting, where the memory will be etched in a photograph for a lifetime.

If you live where there is a candy making company, a day tour of the place may prove to be interesting and they get to help create a few delights as well as bring some home. Or if you live near a cheese factory, quite a few people whom love different types of cheeses enjoy samplings of their wares and a few make more then just American. It is a unique process to watch.
