Well being that i am a young teenager, i know what it's like to not have much time with your parents. It has always seemed like my mom was to busy working. Me and my mother left when i was young so i never really got spend any quality time with my father ether. So i think its important for parents to take time to spend with their kids. I also think its important for teenagers to take time away from their friends and have some bonding time with just their family. Try having family night once or twice a week. Its also important for the parents to try to do something that they and their children will enjoy.Its usually depending on the child's age. Here are some suggestions on things you can do depending on the child's age.

(3-6)-watch children movies, read some books or make some funny crafts together.
(7-12) watch movies, play board/trivia games or simply just watch TV together.
(13+) going to the theater, playing fun family games, or just talking. Thats also a good way to learn about your child, but don't force any information out of them. It could lead to a nasty argument.

With young kids its easy to bond, but once their teenagers everything changes. So family night isn't always possible. So there's other ways to get quality time. Make family rules like the whole family has to work together to make supper and that the family must eat together. That way you get some time to talk with your kids. Make sure your kids know that they can talk to you thats a very important thing, because if they cant talk to you or trust you then they will probably try to avoid you. Spending time with your kids can be hard but just by using a few simple tricks it can make things so much better.
