If they want to get involved in banking they certainly have the assets to back them up. I think it could be real good for the banking business and make it a little more competitive. I know if they offer a CD with a better interest rate than the rate I am currently getting a the bank I am with now, I Will certainly transfer some of my money. Wal-Mart has been very successful at everything else they have tried and I think they would do well in the banking business too. I don't think there is quite the family feel that there was when Sam was still alive but they still have the best prices and they support America and are not slow as molasses in January like K-Mart. I would not walk across the street to pee on a Target store that was on fire. They don't take care of our veterans that are returning that worked for them and they don't let the Salvation Army Bell Ringers ring in front of their French owned stores. as far as I am concerned they can go back to France. My wife does shop there but I don't.

I am sure that Wal-Mart would do a good job in the banking field and that hey would have good rates and a lot of things going fro them. Old Sam had his stuff together and I am sure his descendants are equally as business savvy even if they are not as down to earth. I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Sam in Gillette Wyoming. Just as common as you and me and one heck of a nice guy.

I say if Wal-Mart wants to get in the banking business they should go for it. I think they would do a good job and create some much needed competition.
