He was always away from home too long, physically and mentally
I reached out to him, but was pushed aside
How many times had I heard the comment:
"People have been at me all day long, leave me alone"
I'd make him dinner and often it wasn't good enough
Business calls intruded upon our time
And one day as he was looking through old photos I heard his criticism . . .
"I have to get use to the way you look now that you are getting on"

"Take a look at yourself in the mirror - you aren't 22 any more"
"A man's mind is programmed to like a younger woman's body"
"Can't you make friends with more upscale sort of people . . .
How about doctors and lawyers wives"

He started referring to everything as his
His cars, his home, his stereos - his everything
One day I left . . . never to return

All your comments . . . very revealing - especially these two:
"There is a difference between love and sex"
"There is nothing like a woman's waxed legs"
