Do thoughts follow feelings or do feelings follow thoughts

Think Better Feel Better Live Better

How are you feeling right now? Honestly, how do you feel? Be still for just a moment and get in touch with your core feelings.

Ok, now that you know how you feel, do you know why you are feeling that way?

What are you thinking about right now? Go ahead, look beneath the surface and see what thoughts are running through your head. Got em?

How is your life right now? Are you happy, successful? Do you have lots of supportive and loving friends?

If your asking why all the questions, I'll tell you. What you feel is due to what thoughts you are thinking. Your thoughts become your feelings, then these feelings become what you experience daily in your life.

Don't like your life? Then take it up with your thoughts. By this I mean take charge of your thoughts. You get to choose what you are thinking all day long. Are you aware or unaware, conscious or unconscious of what's going on upstairs in your head?

Most of the time we are so busy doing things that we don't notice the thoughts in our heads. We have cycles of thoughts like little reels that run on and on, over and over in our heads. These thought habits are very powerful magnets creating what we are thinking about.

When you start to become aware of you're your thoughts and feelings you are at the point where you can make a choice of what to think and how to feel.

Take one of the thoughts you saw earlier running around your head. Focus on it and be aware of how you feel. Does it feel good? How you are feeling about your thoughts brings about more experiences that accommodate your feelings.

Try a little experiment.
For just a moment remember a situation when you felt angry, sad, or hurt. Really see and feel this situation and allow yourself to be there in your mind.

Now, how do you feel? Did you feel the stirrings of the same emotions that you did when you first experienced the incident?

Now do the same thing with a memory of a pleasant experience.
You will notice that all it takes is just a few moments of thought for your emotions to go where your thoughts are leading you.

It makes sense to make wise choices where thoughts are concerned. When you can choose a thought that feels good, even if it's only a little bit better that what you were already feeling, this thought leads to a better feeling thought. In this way you can work your way up the good feeling ladder and experience joy and bliss.

The more you choose your thoughts based on how they feel and how you really want to feel, the easier good thoughts become. You are establishing a habit of feel good thoughts. Now you are on a roll. The more good feeling thoughts you think, the better you feel and the better the experiences feel. It snowballs in no time at all.

Now, how do you feel? Better? Good. Think Better Feel Better Live Better. It's your choice!
