Leo has worked hard to "show" us "our" failures in environmental issues, despite Leo, "as a single man" leaves behind a bigger "carbon footprint" then some towns. I give the man credit for his efforts in bringing things to people's attention, but he scores worse then he scores George Bush on his personal track record. His biggest problem is no doubt the fact he chummed up with the biggest carbon footprint in Tennessee. It costs Al Gore an entire average American income just for utilities in one year. Even though Al manages to run up a thirty thousand dollar a year utility bills, Leo steps about the globe touting how his counter efforts now known as "carbon offsets" have compensated for his damage. Solar panels on the roof of his Hollywood mansion and driving a battery operated car are supposed to be "carbon offsets" for the following
Three, count them, THREE Malibu mansions. Okay, he bought one for his "mum" and the third is in his lawyers name. Along with his mansion in Hollywood Hills, his penthouse in Vegas, and a thirty thousand dollar a month apartment in New York. Between Leo's mansions and Al's palace the Polar Bear's air quality is reduced drastically because they suck more power out of the grid then many small cities. After all they all have 24/7 "hot" Hot tubs, at least one Turkish Bath, and nice warm spas. Not to mention of course the exotic heated pools and power hungry appliances at each one. Those must be some powerful solar panels ya got there Leo!
Several hollywood blogs talk about Leo "humbly" settling for a three million dollar apartment in New York, instead of the original ten million plus. Then people blog in by the hundreds saying, "Its nice to see Leo "walk the walk" and choose a smaller place that is better for the environment." WHAT! Yeah well that's how stupid we are folks. Let me say, Leo is probably a good guy, and probably really does want to help the environment, but he desperately needs to find NEW friends, and a new P.R. person.
I say this because in his speeches, he not only sticks his foot in his mouth, He gives himself a bloody lip. Here is Leo on Earth Day, Quote; "Our fresh water and oceans are being polluted, soils are eroding, rivers are running dry, wetlands are disappearing, fisheries are collapsing, rangelands are deteriorating, temperatures are rising, coral reefs are dying, and not since a meteor hit the Earth 65 million years ago have so many species of plants and animals become extinct in such a short
