for emergency.
3. REMAIN OCCUPIED.
This is probably the first time in a few years now you have found a couple of hours available to yourself. Don't be afraid to enjoy this time where possible. Maybe take up a new Hobby or join the gym. Exercise is great as it releases endorphins the feel good hormone especially great for a day like to day. If you had the opportunity to meet other parents at the preschool try and arrange coffee mornings or other activities together having someone to share feelings and thoughts with in the same situation is great.
4. DO NOT FEEL GUILTY.
If your child is having a little trouble adjusting to their new preschool routine, do not start to feel guilty and immediately remove them. Speak with teachers and find out how they feel they are adapting, are there any unusual difficulties they seem to be noticing. Converse with other parents is any one else having problems with the school? If so maybe you need to look further into the suitability of this school with your child. Reduce the length of stay for your child if you feel they are not coping well. Gradually build the time up at preschool as they become more comfortable in their new environment. Try to avoid being late at all costs when it comes to collecting your child if you are going to be delayed for some unforeseen reason call ahead and inform the school so they can talk to your child about what is happening.
The first day of preschool is never easy for any parent. The best solution is to remain occupied. Always ensure you are contactable if ever such an instance should arise. The ritual will become much easier as time progresses. Enjoy the time you have with your child but also remember to enjoy the free time you will now have to yourself.
