14. Add aromatherapy to aid relaxation or to stimulate a happy atmosphere. Lavender is calming and healing and geranium is good for relieving depression and anxiety.
These can be used in an oil burner, on a ring diffuser or mixed with water as a room spray.
15. Use round or oval mirrors to increase good energy, but only reflect good areas as these are what you want to increase.
Good areas may be the view outside into the garden or an area of the room which you find particularly pleasant to be in.
16. Add natural colors and light into the room by the use of a hanging, faceted crystal through which light can stream and make rainbow patterns on the walls.
17. Lemons and oranges are thought to be auspicious in feng shui and have the added benefit of bringing a subtle uplifting citrus scent into a room.
These can be placed in a bowl and will bring good fortune to the householders.
18. Finally, keep electrical items to a minimum and if possible have the television in a cabinet so that it can be stored away when it is not being used. Even when it it switched off it can be distracting to occupants of the room when viewed. This will give your living room a calmer and more friendly environment.
