Well, I would rather say YES. The income from online gigs can pay my bill. I am doing these gigs and surveys for almost 5 years now and I have done this in USA and recently doing this in UK. Yes it helped me to pay my bills both in USA and UK, no doubt. It can help you too but you have to know the right information about these surveys and gig sites, you have to be organized and spend considerable time online doing this, you have to have patience! These are important. Many people think that this kind of work which earns extra bucks does not need time or hard work-but that is totally wrong. Money is not earned for nothing, at least considerable amount of money. You can earn a $ for 6 months but I am not talking about that. I am talking about the bill I have to pay each month and that is about $600 to $800 (or 500 pound to 900 pound).

You need proper information about the sites which pay a good incentive for online work, it may be survey or other kind of work, but they must be authentic and real, they must have evidence of paying their members for years and they must have a good reputation. You can read some review about the sites you want to work with and then check everything by yourself from the site itself and FAQ of the site. You must be clear about the work, payment system, payment type and membership information before you join a site. Some sites require a fee (may be one time or may be per month) for joining them, better never sign up for them. There are thousands of similar sites in the net which serves you in the same way but do not need money to join.
My first choice is online surveys. While I was in USA, I used to work for atleast 40 of online survey company which were authentic, real and genuine. Now I miss many of them in UK but I am lucky enough to find out their substitute which are particularly available for the European people. They even pay three times than the similar one in USA.
There are thousands of company you can try from both USA and UK but you have to try, attempt the surveys very often, do not miss any if they invite you to fill it. If you do more and more you will perform better and better. These surveys are generally designed with some screening questions in the starting and if you do not qualify these screening questions, you won't get the incentive offered means no earning. In the beginning it may be difficult for you to qualify for many of them but if you continue the work and do the survey most often, you will be able to
