Tips on teaching your teen girl to shave

is to make a relaxing atmosphere for you and your child.

Tell your teen girl to wear a short shorts or underwear and to join you in the bathroom bringing her newly acquired shaving kit wit her.

Make a place for her razor, towels, shaving cream, after shaving lotion and other necessities and together with her place them in convenient spot close to bath tub in which she will be shaving. While doing so explain to her once again what each item is meant for.

Explaining her that she should usually be shaving after taking warm shower or a bath because then skin is more relaxed as well as goose bumps free.

Start by teaching your teenage girl how she should shave her legs first.

Let her sit at the edge of filled tab with her legs in the water. After she had applied warm water on to her legs up to the knee and noticed that her skin is well wet and relaxed help her in applying right amount of shaving foam or gel to one of her legs. Show her how by massaging her whet leg with a small amount of product she can develop it in to a rich lather that is needed for shaving to take place.

Now is the time to show her how to properly hold the razor against her skin and how much pressure she should use. Point out how when the razor is good quality and new there is no need to press hard and that her motions should be relaxed.

Explain to her that bodily hairs are always shaved in opposite direction from their growth. This means that she should shave her legs using upward strokes. Point out that the aria around the knee is more tricky and show her how to shave that part lightly, applying minimum amount of pressure.

Guide your girls hand rough shaving process but left her too finish it alone as it is only way she is going to get grip of it.

Now when your teenage girl's legs are for the first time shaved don't let her panic if she sees a small cut that is bleeding. Teach her how to apply astringent to it, which would stop bleeding quickly.

Hand her one of small towels both for this occasion, and show her how to gently pat her legs dry.

As a last step, apply generous amount of adequate after shave lotion or pure aloe gel to her legs, massaging them in upward strokes.

Now that legs are finished with, you should proceed in showing your teen girl how to shave a more sensitive part of her body, her armpits.

Since the armpits have to bi shaved up and down as well as more or less horizontally it is best that you stand in front of big mirror together with your teen girl, while showing her how to do it.
