Moving day: How to choose a perfume that will help you stay fresh on this stressful day

Even for the most organized, moving day can be a bit more than stressful. Every aspect of relocating to a new place whether it is down the street or across the country is nerve racking. It is quite common to experience such feelings as anxiety, fear, excitement, worry, tension, an entire smorgasbord of emotions. It is however common for a person to relate a particular scent or fragrance to promote a sense of calmness and well being. Maybe there is a specific scent that triggers a memory from the past that represents a happy and calm time in your life? If that is the case then misting that scent on your body or somewhere where you can smell it will deliver you a bit of peace and tranquility on that hectic day.

It has been proven that when a child carries around a blanket as a sense of security that it is not really the blanket that they find comfort in but the smell of the blanket that makes it so attractive to them. Usually the blanket will smell like home or like their mother. To a child, this relieves stress and evokes a sense of inner peace. So therefore it would not be uncommon for an adult to use the same practice to induce a similar feeling. Perhaps they will not walk around all day with a security blanket nor can they replicate the sense of well being that they experienced each and every time they smelled their grandmother's soup cooking on the stove but there are some fragrances that are blended to create harmony and eliminate tension and stress.

A blend of Aspen and Chamomile has been known to eliminate tension and fears of the unknown. What a perfect combination to use during a time as chaotic as moving especially since it is likely that you are experiencing tension from fear of the unknown. It is unlikely that you will be able to light a house full of candles on moving day but you can however find these fragrances where aromatherapy is found in the form of bubble bath, body wash, body spray, or in air fresheners themselves. You would be surprised at what a calming feeling these can create. The night before your move, take the time to enjoy a nice hot bubble bath and incorporate these fragrances into the water. Relax, while telling yourself that everything is going to be fine. Breathe in these fragrances and remind yourself of all that is good in your life and focus on the positive because positive thoughts evoke positive outcomes.

It is understandable that you might experience a bit of anxiety as this can be an anxious time and there is nothing that can take it all away but turning to a natural and completely safe aromatherapy fragrance is certainly going to help you get through this trying day. In many cases a lot of anxiety and stress is controlled by mind over matter so if you combine these fragrances with a positive and healthy outlook it is a guarantee that you will find some relief inside of your body and your mind.
