Best ways to recycle fast-food waste

Fast food waste includes two categories: Food and the wrapping material and the containers that the food comes in; knives, forks and spoons, plates and cups and carry-out containers (styrofoam).

Food waste is disheartening for several reasons:
1) Some poor animal (usually a cow or a pig) had to die usually a terrible death to feed people who don't even respect the fact that the poor creature gave its life for them

2) There are starving people in many parts of the world who would love to have that hamburger or to finish off that milkshake that is being thrown out.

It is kind of a crime against the environment to just waste food. If you can't finish it, please take it home.

There should be a law that states:
If you are going to waste food that can't be recycled, then you must pay for it.

If you bring the fast-food home, give your dog or cat the meat, ONLY IF if doesn't have onions in/on it.

If you have salad scraps (WITHOUT any salad dressing) just compost into your dirt.

But here are some ways to recycle for Fast-Food companies to recycle waste, which can be put in a special freezer (tax deductible probably since it will be used for donations), until it is picked up, maybe once a week.

RECYCLING FAST FOOD WASTE:
- All meat and/or cheese items and egg items can be given to dogs and cats at animal (dog) sanctuaries who always need donations. Each state usually has at least one dog sanctuary. After that I would try the dog and cat shelters.
- Some would argue that things like milkshakes (except for chocolate which is toxic to dogs and I don't know about cats) can be given in very mall amounts to dogs, who occasionally like a tiny bit of dairy.
- Salads can be given to dogs, especially if mixed in with meat and kibble and has a tiny bit of dressing.
- Beans can be given to dogs. They love all kinds of beans.
- Corn flour tortillas, OK.

The dog sanctuary or shelter can chop up andmix the hamburger, hot dogs, beans and any corn tortillas together and give a little to each dog. This is a good protein supplement to their diet. They can add a little salad with no onions in the mix.

What I would NOT give to dogs
- RAW ONIONS! These must be taken completely out of all salads (onions can be recycled into compost/dirt if they don't contain dressing.)
- White bread or any white flour products (like pancakes) of any kind.
- Butter; pastries; deserts.
- Chili; anything hot or spicy; or greasy like French fries.
- Absolutely no sodas of any kind.
