Global warming denial patterns

Global Warming is the issue of our generation. It is in the media on a daily basis. It even was the deciding factor in Australia's recent election. To deny Global Warming is occurring is to close your eyes and peg your ears with your fingers and to hum a lullaby. It exists. The earth is warming. But is this a natural warming, or and unnatural warming that so many are arguing? That is more the question.

A recent video doing the rounds via Youtube suggests that, whether we believe Global Warming is happening or not, we humans best bet on the fact it is and do something about it because the consequences of Global Warming occurring and us humans doing nothing about it is far worse than any other outcome. It is better to err on the side of caution. And while this rings true, should we be focusing on trying to stop something we are not sure we are even causing, or can stop, or is it better to prepare for it happening?

What if Global Warming is something out of human control? We humans like to think we control everything. We even believe we can control games of chance and win a fortune on lotto. We believe we can keep the airplane we are flying on in the air, and the car we a driving in away from an accident. We even now believe we can control the weather.

The weather in many ways is the last frontier which we humans can't properly predict or control. As a result we fear it, and we seek to control it, and misguidedly think that we do have influence over it. But in reality we don't. We couldn't predict or stop Hurricane Katrina. We couldn't for-see the terrible floods in England and Europe, or do anything about them when they came. All we could do as human beings was to try and cope.

We are nothing but insignificant little midgets in comparison to the Earth's atmosphere and environment, running around with over-inflated senses of ourselves, puffing out our chests and expostulating our own prowess's. We don't bother praying to God, or our gods anymore, because we do not need Him, or them. We're far superior these days to any of that hogwash. We can do this on our own. But we can no more control the weather than we can control the earth spinning and its yearly orbit.

Global Warming is happening, whether us insignificant midget humans want it to happen or not. And it is impossible to tell if we are causing it or if it's just plain happening. And there is no stopping it, and no discounting it. Temperatures are increasing, arctic ice is melting, and the seas are rising. If we
