Well the day has finally arrived and you are moving in the morning. You are more than tired as you eat the cold piece of pizza and the warm cola drink that is resting on top of the last box you packed.

It is time to collect your thoughts and think of getting ready for the big moving day.
An important step to take may be arranging your purse as well as all your important papers you need, the new keys and a small bag that includes some scented products to keep you refreshed and smelling good on your moving day.

Research has shown that scent can have a powerful effect on our emotions. So if you already have a favorite scent use this after your morning shower and pack it for later in the day when you begin to feel frazzled.

Psychologists and medical researchers know that the scent of pure vanilla fragrance or vanilla-based perfume has been known to elicit positive and relaxed responses as it reduces stress and anxiety. Moving day falls in line with one of the most stressful events in your life. Consider this scent in a room using a plug in. Your new home will shortly have an atmosphere of tranquility. Well, no that is a bold face lie. But you certainly will be creating a more relaxed atmosphere. Another pleasant scent is that of cinnamon and apples, place a plug in the kitchen area. The scent will make you feel good and it will smell as if you have just baked an apple pie as you begin to find your way in your new kitchen.

If it is a nice day and time of year, go natural open a few windows and let the fresh air come into your new home. The scent of cut grass or floral blooms that surround your home will be a nice memory of this important time.

Remember that there are sometimes emotional responses to a scent. Be sure to avoid any scent that elicits a negative response for you. Never wear the scent that you associate with a bad memory. In fact now is the time to throw it away and begin with new scents in your home.

This moving day will be over shortly and tomorrow you will awake in your new home. Although you are bone tired and cannot find a few things, you will still smell good!
