When I was younger I went through a lot. In my almost twenty years I've mourned over ten deaths, two of which were suicides. I kept all of my feeling inside, the only release or even comfort from these tragedies came from a pen and a piece of paper. I initially began writing in school for essays and such, but as I grew older it became a way out, so to speak. Now I write to let go and ease the weight off of my chest. There is so much going on inside my brain at all times, I am honestly never bored. Writing is my connection to the world, just like music. Add writing and music together and you get songs. I cannot play any musical instruments but I can write to the constant rythym inside my head. I write what I feel, think, see and what I would like to see. I was unable to communicate properly with others when I had issues with them, I would cry because I am an emotional person. Writing became a way to communicate how I was feeling. I could write it rather than speak it. So I would write letters and then I would be able to communicate. Writing does so many amazing things for people. I know it has helped me grow into the young woman I am today. Sometimes all it takes is a pen and a piece of paper to help a broken heart heal.
