After owning many different brands of vacuum cleaners, in my mind the best vacuum for your money is the Dyson. The Dyson has an unmatched cleaning ability. When they claim it does not lose suction, that is what they mean. I have owned my Dyson for well over 3 years now and would never trade it in for anything else.
When my wife and I first moved into our newly built home in 2003 is when I first purchased our Dyson vacuum cleaner after many trips to the local stores in search of the best vacuum. I had on many occassions compared the brands out there and even had in home demonstrations, yet was at first put off by the cost. Trust me when I say they are well worth the cost, when compared to the price of some of the other brands and the many filters that will need to be bought over the life of the vacuum.
The stylish construction of the Dyson makes this,in my mind, the best vacuum. The on-board tools all are stored close to the top, near the handle, for ease of use. Many hours and years had to go into the design of this model, cause any problem associated with normal vacuums was covered. There are various points of interest to take into account.
The handle is reversible to form the long reaching wand for over head cleaning, and is stored inside of the vacuum tubing during normal use. Thus there is no storing of extra tubing to be hauled around during cleaning from room to room.
There are three key removable joints,in case of clogging ending the old broom handle trick to unclog your vacuum. The cyclonic dust collection chamber, where one can easily see the suction at work, is easily removed with the push of a trigger.
The dust chamber, once removed, is easily emptied with the push of a trigger. There is no need to fuss with dirty nasty collection bags or touching the dirt, unless one wants too. The Dyson employs the use of two filters, a permanent and a washable one. The washable filter is a brilliant idea, basically a sponge that can be washed and reused after drying. I have yet to replace mine after numerous washings.
An anti-slipping mechanism on the beater bar, prevents unneeded replacement of the belt in case of snagging unwanted items into the vacuum. My wife was the "queen of vacuum belts" seeing she would burn through one in less than a month. Her idea was if it was on the floor then the vacuum should pick it up. We have yet had to replace any belts, or any service done on this vacuum to date, other than the normal cleaning to keep the bar clear.
The above mentioned key points are good enough reasons in themselves to buy this vacuum, but the main reason is the cleaning ability it has. Having two dogs in my home, I have found the pet hair has been kept to a minimum due to the Dysons awesome ability to get a deep down clean each and every time I use it. The unmatched suction and ease of use has, in my mind, made this the best vacuum for your money that is on the market.
