How to be eco-fashionable

help to reduce air pollution by releasing oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide and other air-polluting chemicals. They also take part in the mass of rainwater that is supplied to earth. The rainforests are also home to many different flora and fauna, hundreds of varieties of birds and insects, and animals whose benefits we have yet to know of and yet we cause their extinction before knowing the outcome of our actions.

This factory-like production of meat from cattle is done by the huge farm corporations in the world that now have a monopoly on the raising of food for consumers. These big farm corporations have bought out most small farmers.

NOT WEARING ANIMAL FURS

People who don't wear animal fur are against the killing of animals for the fur industry, realizing that many animals have already become extinct due to this practice.

Again if you don't buy in to demand you don't increase supply and that is why anti-fur activists do not buy fur or wear fur.

VEGETARIANS

Some people don't eat any kind of meat and therefore make a statement by not wearing anything that comes from an animal. They abhor the practice of inhumanely raising and killing animals.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS

Some people don't believe in animal testing or treating an animal in an inhumane way. Animal testing, the slaughter of animals for meat production, the inhumane way of factory farming animals by not letting them live a life of animal quality spurs on the anti-cruelty activists. They will not wear leather or fur as a statement. They are also not buying into the supply and demand system of economic sustainability.

ORGANIC AND NATURAL FOOD

People interested in organic and natural food also make a statement regarding the production of animals for meat, leather, and fur. They are into non-pesticide farming and growing food and animals for consumption in a natural way - the way our grandfathers raised their food without chemicals, preservatives, insecticides, pesticides, and other damaging practices used on animals. The use of BGH, antibiotics, and other medications on animals destroys the animal's ability to live a quality life and is a horrible practice.

Organic and natural food activists also make a statement about not wearing anything made from an animal. If you don't wear the products made from animals you are not buying into their trade. The demand increases for organic and natural food. It then will decrease for chemically laden food.

Most organic farmers farm like the old-time family farmers. Their idea is to rid the world of the farming corporation monopoly and bring back the family farm.

THE FASHIONS OF THE ECO-FASHIONABLE

Eco-fashionable people only wear clothes made of cloth, preferably cotton. They wear sneakers - a mostly manmade cloth shoe, and purses or bags made of cloth.

They never wear suede or any kind of leather and instead wear coats made of manmade fibers, cotton, and wool. Wool is okay because you don't have to kill an animal to wear anything made of wool.

As long as you don't buy into the system of supply and demand with regard to meat, leather, and fur you are not supporting the big conglomerate corporation system that today controls the food trade. With enough non-support, this system can not survive.

OTHER ECO-FASHIONABLE PRACTICES

Eco-fashionable people don't collect plastic bags. They use the same eco-friendly bag over and over again. They don't use styrofoam. They recycle. They compost. They have their own gardens. They don't use pesticides, herbicides, or harsh chemicals. They plant trees. They try to do eveything that should be done to protect the ecology and the environment.

Why not become eco-fashionable today and support your local and world ecology?
