Feng shui tips for the bathroom

the flavors of the seasons; warm tones in winter and cool in summer. Or, if you love strong colours all year round, consider plain pale tones with featured freizes of colour or design. The aim is always to harmonize and balance the melodies of nature.

A new bathroom gives you a little more scope. Select powder soft greys, gentle creams and palest of blues for background tiles and walls. Then accessories become a feature and the illusion of space is maximized. Plan for a large opaque window, (to attract light). The window should open outwards from the base to maximize a combination of privacy and ventilation. Border with a wooden trough, fixed to the sill for rounded pebbles or stones. A great safety option and space saving accessory! A planter could be fixed to the wall for your climbing ivy, allowing the latticework to reach above the tile line, (to maximize ease of cleaning the tiles). The ivy then has space to both climb and droop softly. A wonderful ambience of gently swaying ivy can be created with a slightly open window, capturing stray breezes.

Maybe there is now a spa bath. More drains! Ideally, the spa should be sited in a corner, to keep space flowing round the room. Border the wall edges of the spa with firmly adhered smooth stones. Try tonal variations of soft, earthy greys to light browns. Delightful darkening happens when wet! In the corner, away from the wall a little, leave a deep opening between the stones for inserting a red, driplesss candle! The pebbles then provide a wonderful, secure base.

Finally, consider more than one mirror, to deepen the depth of the bathroom. Always aim for curved frames. If a mirror is not used for personal grooming, ensure it reflects positive features, such as the ivy.

Feng shui is still exploring the possibilities of harmonious decor in the bathroom! Experiment, working with the natural harmonies of yin and yang! Your body will delight in this cleansing sanctuary!
