Why politicians lie

Headline: "Senator tells truth, tax increase merely cover for taking over our hard earned wages to redistribute to those not working."

Now you know why they "Lie"or "Prevaricate" or "Stretch the Truth".

Any politician, who honestly promoted the fact that Taxes are nothing more than an expropriation of the just rewards of our individual labor, just so he can provide someone with no desire to do the necessary things to obtain and keep employment, would lose his elective job.

Any politician, who accurately portrayed himself as a promoter of collectivist social policies would lose their job.

Any politician, who truthfully admitted to the public that social security is borderline insolvent because they have spent the money in the fund on programs with no benefit to anyone other than a Washington lobbyist, would be run out of town on a rail.

Even conservative politicians have begun to forget to tell the full truth, using the lefts socialist lingo to describe their plans, making something which began as a useful tool in the war on poverty sound like some collectivist Utopian plan.

A politicians job once elected is to remain in office as long as possible so as to avoid having to actually work and pay the taxes they levy on the average American.

At the end of the day, we can either believe or not what our politicians tell us. It is OUR responsibility as citizens of the republic to ensure that the truth is told regardless of the negative press.
