Celebrities who reinvent their identities lose themselves

I re-invent myself everyday. I think it's healthy. Who are we to judge who is lost and who is not lost? That's very self-righteous. Each morning I attempt to process what the day before had brought me, absorb it, and move from there. I temper this with as much patience as I muster since I have spent years and years, making snap opinions, and jumping too fast from one situation to another.

The human mind is a fabulous organ, we use so little of it. The fact that we can construct and re-construct reality is a feature not many care to use. Perhaps those who are troubled by aging, need to get the hang of it. I am distinguishing between an absolute truth and each person's perceived reality, i.e. their identity.

Many celebrities are actors and actresses, who live by their imaginations. This is a creative skill that should be taken seriously. Or look at it spiritually, isn't everyday a new invention of and by itself? Can we not look with the eyes of a child? We'd probably be better off for it.

Any growing, maturing, fully alive individual will accept change. Some people embrace it. I'm not suggesting our core character is dissolved, or that schizophrenia be the new rage, I'm just attempting to shed some light on what I think is highly judgmental on the part of most readers, who indulge in celebrity watching. I do not. I say, live and let live.
