Mindfulness meditation and the law of attraction

Mindful meditation and the law of attraction are very similar. Gurus in ashrams and nuns in convents all devote daily time to mindful meditation, concentration or "centering" prayer. Simply put, they are focusing mental, emotional and spiritual energy on the object of their desires.

The Law of Attraction has become popular in recent years as part of the larger New Age and pop-culture spirituality movements. In reality, the law of attraction is a simple spiritual experience. We pray or meditate with seriousness and seek contact with the divine. To achieve results we have to be in a peaceful state of mind, feel love and gratitude, and consistently reach out of ourselves. Meditation can be used to achieve this state, but dedicated practice must be carried out every day. Guru Paramahansa Yogananda writes of this effect. When we reach out in prayer and meditation, we draw energy to us. We attract the spiritual energy of the things we desire, or we attract the help of divinities that can assist us to achieve our goals.

There are many paths to reaching our desires, and mindful meditation is the simplest form. It is taught as many things; self-realization, concentration, awareness, etc. The important thing is to ensure your practice is in line with your spiritual beliefs. We can achieve our spiritual desires, we simply have to direct our energy toward the answers we seek.
