Just Wow. Pearl Jam Versus Nirvana.. Well To Start Off Nirvana, is the best bet here, because Kurt Cobain Had passion behind his lyrics, feelings of emotions everything, you name it he had.

Aggression to Sorrow. Depression takes a great role in writing great songs.

Don't get me wrong Pearl Jam has great songs as well, and the vocalist of Pearl Jam, can write some good lyrics, but as far as Kurt Cobain, I'm afraid Kurt takes lead here.

Nirvana is by far the best bet here. With many great songs, Kurt Cobain kept pushing and pushing lyrics out, out of his own emotions, until the point where the popularity was getting to him, and he basically said, you want entertainers we will give you them.

Nirvana then released the single "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
Compared to the song By Pearl Jam "Jeremy"

I Believe the reason behind you want entertainers, we shall give you some.
and then There is Jeremy, about a kid who kills himself in front of a class.

There is some emotion right there from Pearl Jam, But Still It doesn't match up to The Famous Nirvana.

And With Singles Like, "Heart-shaped Box" "In Bloom" "Lithium" "Lake Of Fire" "All Apologies" "Breed" "Come As You Are" "About A Girl" "Polly" And My Favorite "Something In The Way"

Nirvana has definitely beaten Pearl Jam here.
