On the BBC today, it told of a cat (Baby was its name) that had "bionic" legs attached after it fell from a an apartment a few floors up. As the vet attached the bionic implants, she noticed the cat had other metal pieces holding its front legs in place as well. What I want to know is that after this cat fell from a window the first time, why didn't its owners close the window? I mean really, how many bionic parts are you going to put in this feline? This cat's bills are higher than my doctor visits I am sure. I do wonder if the owners will get the hint that this cat should not be sitting on a window ledge soaking up the sun. Wouldn't it be a bit hysterical if the true fact was that the owner's child or dog snuck up on the cat and scared it, making it loose its balance and fall. But now, the cat can run faster and swat harder (I'm remembering my days growing up watching the Six million dollar man jumping tall fences and the bionic woman crushing a tennis ball) and could seek revenge? I used to love to sneak up on my neighbor's cat as it was sunning and give it a bit of a startle by rolling a jingle ball right up to it. I guess I will think twice about startling a cat from now on since I won't know if it could jump its bionic body up from the floor and whip my butt!
