Songs: Domestic violence

Lola

Sometimes I wonder how you can love someone so insane.
Sometimes it hurts to see all the tears fall from the pain.
You say it's 'cos you love him, but I know better than that.
Every night you pray that he will never come back.

Listen to me, I'm here for you.
You can lean on me, because I love you.

Girl don't waste your life away
Just 'cos you are so afraid.
Anger spurts from his words

And his fists are worse.
So I tell you,
Here's what we'll do...
Pack up all your bags and drive three states away.
Never to return to the man who's caused so much pain.
It's so hard to see you suffer like this.
You could live in happy bliss
Away from Mr. Unhappy.

Sometimes I wonder how you don't just crash and burn.
Sometimes I wish from this mistake you'd just leave and learn.
You say you love him too much to leave.
But I know better, come on, it's me.
We've known each other forever.
You and him shouldn't be together.

Listen to me, I'm here for you.
Lean on me because I love you.

Girl don't waste your life away
Just 'cos you are so afraid.
Anger spurts from his words
And his fists are worse.
So I tell you,
Here's what we'll do...
Pack up all your bags and drive three states away.
Never to return to the man who's caused so much pain.
It's so hard to see you suffer like this.
You could live in happy bliss
Away from Mr. Unhappy.

Sometimes I wonder if he'd just crash and burn.
Sometimes I wish this was just a lesson learned.
Sometimes I wonder how you could love someone so insane.
Sometimes it hurts to see all the tears fall from your pain.
Listen to me.
Lean on me.
I'll take you away.
Let's go today.
You don't need him, you could do better.
Please just leave him, we can do it together...

Why did you put yourself through this?
I would have helped you find a happy bliss.
But it's too late
You had to wait.
Now you're not here.
You aren't anywhere.
How could you be so dumb?
I'm going numb!
You were the best friend I've ever had.
Now you're gone, and I'm mad!

Sometimes I wonder why you loved someone so insane.
Sometimes I let the tears fall from this pain.
Sometimes I wonder what I could do.
Sometimes I wish I could have saved you.
