Poetry: Betrayal

I fell into a lie the day I saw his face
I thought he was so true
too good to be so
I thought I'd never have to let him go
the day I saw him with her
I wanted to cave
I wanted to use the knife in my back
to make the image fade
I wanted to die
so sick with disappointment
I felt no light
all I felt was anger and rage
I just wanted to walk away
so many times I felt this way
I'm tired of this pain
of smelling betrayal as I wake
