In Your Arms, Lord
I guess you need her back.
I suppose I understand.
Your light to her guiding hand
her love
always without question or condition,
on which I've come to rely,
makes it hard to say good-bye.
Thank you for the gift of my mother.
She listened, shared and gave to others
showing how to live the promise
of a gentler world
through precious lessons from her heart.
I am so grateful for my mother.
So accept this ache I feel
Her absence is so real.
As she returns to you,
I ask one favor, please:
Rock her
Hold her
Take her in your arms
The way she did with me.
