pain comes so fast
we thought hope and happiness were built to last
here's the fact
when love is broken
hate takes it's place
we need to get past it day by day
as we carry these burdens
we forget the love we missed
only to find
we never felt bliss
but love equals happiness
and we need to remember
that this memory still stands
that it will never fade
but what we can do is learn to be okay
accept it
that we cannot change our misfortunes
we cannot bury many holes we dig
healing a scar
sometimes we cannot do it
what we can do is remember
we have a destiny
that dwelling in our hatred
will never let us free
