Feng shui tips for the home office

to be avoided as they promote aggression and anxiousness.

Desk Placement.

Never have your desk situated so that you have your back to the door. There is no reason to do so as if the desk fits you can sit behind it in the most balancing position which is facing the door, although slightly to the side.

With your back to the door you would feel unsafe and vulnerable. This would make you nervous and anxious, as well as unapproachable to any staff or clients.

If you are in direct alignment with the door then you will receive the full force of energy each time it is opened. This can be overwhelming and lead to rushing thoughts and not enough direct action which is well thought out. This is why your desk should be slightly to the side of the door, but facing it.

Do not place your desk with either a window directly behind you or in-front of you. The only exception to this is when the window cannot be overlooked by another person and is facing a Northerly direction and so will attract prosperity.

Object Placement.

Only place items of importance and significance in your office. This will help to attract a similar energy into your business. At the same time there should be no clutter and paperwork should be properly filed neatly and other items stored neatly away in draws or cabinets.

If possible have a round, rather than a square or oblong desk. This will bring harmony, balance and promote good communication in your business.

Try to have lighting in corners of the office, plus where you will be working. Also use natural light wherever possible and when using bulbs for lighting choose daylight bulbs. This will ease stress and help to keep you well and so you will be more productive.

If you have a computer you can place a piece of rose quartz by it to absorb negativity and stress caused by electrical usage.

To attract success and wealth use a few drops of the essential oil of bergamot in a burner or diffuser. This will also help you to think clearly and make good decisions.

You may also place a round leafed plant on your desk. If it has red flowers then all the better. Place it toward the back central position of the desk if you want to attract fame.

Do not have your computer on standby if you are leaving it for a significant amount of time. This also refers to night time. Switch electrical items off at the plug and each morning freshen your Chi by allowing a new flow of outside air into your office.

Finally, hang photographs and pictures of your achievements on the wall in neat frames. Not too many, as the walls must not look cluttered. Also place a picture or two of a role model of yours who is, or has been. particularly successful. This will provide you with focus and encouragement whilst attracting positive energies to you.
