Hang up family photos to encourage peace and appropriate items in relevant corners, such as a money tree or bowl of water in the wealth corner, to encourage riches.
Encourage a quality social atmosphere with the good use of the seating arrangements. The sofas should be extremely comfortable and encourage relaxation. Think luxurious rich fabrics and lots of cushions. It's essential that you can see the door when sitting and to encourage conversation, place seats opposite each other rather tan all facing the television.
Choose your dcor for specific and favorable locations:
North-facing rooms can be cool and uninviting so use warm colors that promote comfort and relaxation.
As south-facing rooms are often naturally bright you may need to consider darker colors to achieve the same atmospheric goal.
Try to avoid some of these common pitfalls:
Ensure the room is free of clutter, such as old newspapers and magazines. Set up good storage for your videos and CDs.
Ensure that the television does not dominate the room place it inside a cabinet to help promote conversation when not in use.
A large coffee table inappropriately placed can also take up the main focus.
Place sofas with their backs to a sold wall and not with their backs to the door.
