What is it about female vocal groups that keep music fans calling for more? Their history can be traced back to The Andrew Sisters in the 1940's, and by the 1960's Motown Records had unleashed their wave of R&B female vocal groups like The Supremes and The Ronettes. Succinctly, the 70s lay claim to its share of female acts like Heart and The Mandrell Sisters, but it would be in the 1980s that a floodgate of all-girl pop groups rushed in like Expose and The Go-Go's leading into the 90s with a succession of female vocal groups like En Vogue, Salt-N-Pepa, All Saints, Dream, TLC, B*Witched, Destiny's Child, and The Spice Girls to name a few. Now, in the first decade of the new millennium, the momentum for female vocal groups has never waned with The Cheetah Girls, The Pussycat Dolls, and Universal Motown Records' latest discovery Jada who will be releasing their debut album in early 2008.

Jada's singers April Forrest, Lauren O'Keefe, Jacyn Tremblay, and Elle Wine came together during an open audition held at Bristol Studios in Boston, Massachusetts which is owned and managed by Ric Poulin and his wife Laura. Elle tells, "It was all through an audition at Bristol Studios in Boston. None of us knew each other before we got into the group. Jacyn, April, and I studied voice at Bristol and Lauren responded to the audition call."

All the members of Jada had vocal training and dance lessons prior to the audition, which prepared them for what they were about to go through in front of large crowds like singing the National Anthem at several games for the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins, and the Boston Celtics and singing in shopping malls across the US. Over the last three years, Jada has also performed at the Viper Room in Boston, Six Flags amusement parks, Hershey Park, Fenway Park, Hard Rock Caf, Disney's Pleasure Island, the Miami Winter Music Conference, and stage productions for Radio Disney.

Lauren shares, "We've had a great time with Radio Disney. Every time we perform for them, the crowd's response is awesome. It's a great chance for us to expose our music to a large family audience and meet lots of excited new fans. We loved the New Year's Eve concert on December 31, 2006. We were the act chosen to sing Auld Lang Syne' and ring in the New Year with the Mayor of Boston up on stage, so we always end up on the noon-day
