The Globally sad thing about Empowerment is 'that it needs a "Movement" for people to realize that they already have the power.'
Indeed, that knowledge is dangerous if it is not righteously attained. To some, that means they have to "earn" it though labor, effort, inheritance, suffering and/or luck. To gain clearance from other humans, it might be true that one has to 'earn' the position-of-power to rightfully use the power; but one cannot, never-ever have power if one does not reach out to take it!
That is the true power that 'Empowerment' entails: the ability to reach out and take the power.
I've been thinking a lot about George Lucas's Darth Vader, the main character of the STAR WARS sexology. (I think deep inside that the use of "sexology" to describe his work was Lucas's main goal in creating the STAR WARS series.)
Thinking of Vader, a phrase describing a position-of-power comes to mind: proximity to the machine-his suit, for example, was a complex machine (for the most-part) that he controlled through sheer brain-energy. Darth Vader didn't even BECOME "Darth Vader" until he nearly killed the Emperor of the Known Universe. I'm sure Darth Vader would've been 'a force to reckon with' if he had moved to a lonely swamp like his master Yoda, but his frightening presence was even more-powerful when he was among powerful allies (and even enemies).
Perhaps all the people gaining power today will contribute to a worldwide synergy like Vader had among the clones, Imperial officers and Sith masters on the Death Star(s).
