Muhammad, also spelled Mohammed, pronounced" Mohum- med", translated, "one worthy of praise." The Mohum is pronounced quickly with a hesitation before you pronounce the "med" sound. The idea is to pronounce both of the m's that are next to each other separate and distinct from each other. The effort to make the two m's separate will automatically cause a natural hesitation before you pronounce "med", which should also be pronounced quickly with slight emphasis on the "d". Following these guidelines for pronouncing this name, you are on your way to pronouncing the name correctly and therefore better than many well-known western scholars and news anchors who, to this day, either cannot pronounce or refuse to pronounce the name correctly. A man once scoffed at Muhammad(saw) because Muhammad s only sons died in childhood and he did not have any sons to carry his name on. This man had many sons as he scoffed, yet his name is unknown to this very day, in spite of the many sons he had to carry his name on. He was cut off. On the other hand, Muhammad, who had no sons, bore a name that has become the most popular name in the world because of what the name represents and because of the character of the one who represents its.
Muhammad(saw) by far, the most distinguished of prophets, re-established the message from Allaah, that "there is but One worthy of worship, whose proper name is Allaah." This is the quintessence of the
