When you think of the bathroom, the element that immediately springs to mind is, of course, water. Pure water is essential to our ecosystem, bringing vitality and abundance. But when it is impure, for example water in drains, sewers and stagnant ponds; it can have a detrimental effect. Bathrooms are more associated with cleansing and waste than life, and it is essential not to overstimulate water's influence.
In Feng Shui, designers tend to utilize the quieter and less busy areas of a home to locate the bathroom. Since water's own colors are black or blue, choose other ones for the walls, shower curtains and towels to achieve a balance. Water is supported by metal, so reduce the use of white, chromes and silver. You can drain some of the water element by bringing in plenty of wood best achieved by introducing a green theme to the room.
